Claudio has studied oil and gas engineering at Turin Polytechnic Institute. He gained his PhD in engineering science at Riga Technical University, in the energy sector, alternative energy equipment subsector.
Within carring out the theses at Riga Technical University, Claudio created and installed the first solar energy and wood pellets combined system in an apartment building in Latvia (Barona street 2, Sigulda, Latvia).
Currently Claudio has specialized in energy services (ESCO) with a target on development of energy-efficiency and renewable energy projects. In cooperation with the leading ESCO company RENESCO (www.renesco.lv), they had implemented several projects in Latvia. At the same time Claudio is working at RTU in faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering, in Environmental and Energy Systems Institute as a senior researcher. Overall Claudio has developed more than 70 scientific publications, which more detailed can be found in his Research Gate or ortus.rtu.lv profile.
Currently Claudio lives in Gauja, Latvia, together with his wife and two children. He is profieecient in Italian, Latvian, English and a little French.
