Liga joined SIA "Ekodoma" in February, 2007 as a project assistant and since 2009 works as a project manager. Liga gained her experience through technical studies and looking for opportunities for development of district heating system and industrial enterprises. She has successfully produced a number of projects for submission to the EU Structural Funds. Liga has gained extensive experience in organizing various educational activities and courses, trainings, seminars and workshops for different target groups (students, households, local government representatives and representatives of the plant).
Liga Zogla has worked on a number of European-funded projects, such as ExBESS (energy efficiency and comparative observation in manufacturing), EUBIONET III (solid biomass potential and standards), "CHP goes Green" (combined heat and power production from renewable energy resources) and "Premium Light" project in Latvian (promotion of LED lighting).
Liga Zogla gained her Master's degree in Environmental and Energy Systems Engineering, at Riga Technical University in 2009. But in 2010 Liga began doctoral studies on energy efficiency policies in the industrial sector, with a particular focus on policy instruments such as voluntary agreements, energy management system and the use of benchmark techniques in energy efficiency evaluation. At 2016 Liga received a doctorate in engineering, at environmental science sub-branch. Liga lives in Riga, Līči and is fluent in Latvian and English.
